Hey viewers! The National Geographic website has so many AMAZING photos on all different kinds of topics: people, animals, nature, weather, etc. It's so hard to pick a favorite, but I did find one:
This is a photo of fireflies taken in North Carolina, where my grandma currently lives. My mom spent most of her middle and high school years on the East coast, so she grew up with fireflies sparkling in the summer nights. Unfortunately, I have never seen them myself, so this picture is as close to the real bugs as I can get. It's a goal for me to see them in person, and this picture is a reminder of that goal.
What I love about this picture is the color contrast; the ground and trees are a bluish-green color while the lightning bugs are streaks of light green and yellow. I so badly want to go into this forest so I can lie down on a blanket and watch these incredible creatures! They are so beautiful!
Nice photo! I like the lighting bugs
ReplyDeleteI realy enjoy this picture because of the contrast of the ground brings out the colors of the lightning bugs. I also think it would be cool if you could reach your goal, it be cool to see actual fireflies.
ReplyDeleteThe colors of the Firflies are so vibrant.
ReplyDeleteI love how they make the forest look alive. This picture has so much energy in it.
ReplyDeleteI saw this photo too! I thought the fireflies were vines at first, I wonder how they made the picture look like that.
